Ergonomic handheld mixer, designed to minimize strain and discomfort for the elderly, particularly in the wrist.
We carried out in-depth surveying and immersion testing, helping to develop empathy towards elderly users and identify key usability issues.
Tackling the issue of ulnar deviation in the wrist, an alteration to the angle and positioning of the handle along with providing a two-handed usability option, greatly aids in reducing strain and discomfort.
Designed to emulate the appearance and functionality of a typical handheld mixer, fostering a sense of familiarity with the product, so as not to alienate the user experience; helping elderly feel more confident in themselves and their physical abilities.
